Team Kaushalam Foundation participated in plantation drive at Bhapura; discusses setting up of Skill Development Centre in village with MP Ramcharan Bohra
Kaushalam Foundation actively participated in a plantation drive organized by Member of Parliament, Jaipur Shri. Ramcharan Bohra in Bhapura village, followed by a meeting at his residence to discuss possibilities of setting up a Skill Development Centre in the village. Kaushalam Foundation aims to develop Bhapura as a model village with major focus on skill development to improve employability of youth being the pivot. It is noteworthy that Bhapura village in Tehsil Sanganer, Jaipur has been adopted by Mr. Bohra under PM’s ambitious model village scheme called Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna.
Apart from establishing a primary healthcare centre and bus stand, his agenda of developing Bhapura as the model village includes establishment of a Skill Development Centre which aligns with the motto of Kaushalam Foundation i.e. ‘Building India through Skilling India’.
From our skills audit exercise, base line study and on ground observations it has been found that the youth of Bhapura has a solid potential as well as urge to work in prestigious companies and organizations. Many are interested in becoming entrepreneurs too. The factors which are obstructing their path are lack of Spoken English and Computer operating skills. Team Kaushalam Foundation proposed to set up a computer lab and other infrastructure required for training of youth in the village. Mr. Bohra seems keen about our proposal and has wished to meet us soon again.
