Dr. Ajit Gupta is a native of Udaipur district, Rajasthan. She holds a doctoral degree in Ayurveda from Ayurveda University Jaipur, Rajasthan. After successfully serving as Ayurveda Doctor and Lecturer at Ayurveda University, Udaipur, she took voluntary retirement in 1997 to completely dedicate herself to Social work and Writing. She has published 11+ books consisting of 2 poetry collections, 2 Novels, 1 travelogue to name some. She currently holds multiple positions in several reputed institutions. She is currently positioned as the member of Board of Management in Maharana Pratap Agriculture University and is also serves as prominent member of Administrative Board, Rajasthan State Library Council.
She previously held the reputed positions of Chairman, Rajasthan Sahitya Academy and National Chairman Bharat Vikas Parishad –Mahila. She has received plethora of esteemed awards for her significant writing work on Tribal Areas of India by National Women Commission, 2001 and Vishwa Hindi Samman by Government of India, 2007. Her illustrious career spanning over 3 decades of professional work experience in the fields of Women Empowerment, Writing, Social Entrepreneurship and as a development practitioner is set to strengthen Kaushalam Foundation‘s outreach to fulfill its motto of ‘Building India Through Skilling India’.
